YOUNG JEEZY'S CONCERT IN MONTREAL GOT CANCELLED!

MONTREAL - Organizers of the inaugural Montreal Hip Hop Festival have called off Friday night's scheduled concert by rapper Young Jeezy at L'Olympia.

The cancellation of the Atlanta rapper's Montreal show comes after violence erupted at the sites of his two previous concerts in Toronto and London, Ont.

A man was shot Wednesday night at Toronto's Sound Academy just before Young Jeezy was to take the stage. (His appearance was subsequently cancelled).

And two men were shot late Thursday night at the London Music Hall during one of the rapper's opening acts, once again leading to the cancellation of Young Jeezy's appearance.

All three shooting victims are reported to be in stable condition.

Young Jeezy - whose lyrics trade heavily in cocaine-trade imagery - was to be the marquee name kicking off the first edition of the Montreal Hip Hop Festival, but organizers said Friday they did not want to run the risk of similar violence breaking out here.

Ticketholders can either obtain a refund at point of purchase or use their tickets to gain admission to the following MHHF shows: French rapper Rohff (Saturday night at Club Soda) and veteran New York duo EPMD (Sunday night at Club Soda). Due to capacity limits, only 200 Young Jeezy ticket-holders will be admitted to each of these shows.
