J.A.E Johnson was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, but quickly moved to Brooklyn, NY at the tender age of three months. J.A.E was raised in Brooklyn till he was eleven when his mother then moved back to her roots of North Carolina but this time in the city of Charlotte. Taken in by the southern comfort of the Carolina's he was turned on to rapping. At the age of fourteen entering high school, he began to battle rap by the name J.A.E. Due to one parent living in the north & the other in the south, he traveled back in fourth every winter & summer keeping his Brooklyn tone with Carolina chill. Later at the age of eighteen he entered the studio for the first time learning how to record songs instead of focusing on freestyles.
Following his influences Notorious B.I.G, Snoop Dogg, Jay-z and Nas, J.A.E crafted the art of story telling. Hungry for success and for his voice to be heard, J.A.E shares his freestyles and records through Twitter, Myspace, Facebook and various blogs. He now resides in New York City, taking meetings with different labels trying to find his future home.
