Imagine this woman as your neighbor.
A Chinese woman uses her house as a breeding ground for 100,000 cockroaches.
Yuan Mexia, from eastern China, breeds the cockroaches as they are popular to use in Chinese medicine.
She claims the insects are her "children, my babies" and pampers them with sugary treats and a warm stove where they can rest, reports the South China Morning Post.
But it is a tough kind of love.
Mexia packs the cockroaches off to pharmaceutical companies for around $100 a kilo after she has killed them by drowning them in vats of water, and drying them in the sun.
