Charlie Sheen's tiger blood may be no match for the newest delicacy of New Zealand extreme foodies: stallion semen.

The shots, which will debut next week at the Hokitika Wildfoods Festival next month, go for $10 New Zealand (approx. $7.50 US dollars), and promise to give consumers "as much zizz as a stallion for a week afterwards," the Australian newspaper reported.

The idea, Kerslake said, is that horses provide a cholesterol-free way to get pure testosterone.

"You often hear from a female perspective that semen has an awful alkaline taste, so we thought we'd better make it more user-friendly. Think of it like a milkshake," said Lindsay Kerslake, a racehorse owner who came up with the shot idea.

For those who choose to swallow it, the drink can be washed down with an energy drink-like chaser, the newspaper reported. But the shots will also be available in flavors including cherry, licorice and banoffee (banana-toffee) pie.

Whether or not it's that energy drink chaser or the special shot that will give imbibers energy is unclear. But Kerslake said he's sure that people will line up to try it.

"You tend to love our racehorses so why not their product," he told the newspaper.
