IN THE STREETS & ON THE WEB

It's the last place he thought he'd catch a bullet.
A drug suspect being transported in a police van was hit by random gunfire sprayed across a Brooklyn street early today, cops said.

Edward Espinal, 26, was with two other prisoners in a van driven by cops from the Brooklyn South Narcotics squad when shots rang out at Atlantic Avenue and Saratoga Avenue in Brownsville.

One of the bullets struck Espinal in the back, cops said.

He was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

Espinal, who lives on Sutter Avenue, had been arrested hours earlier on East 99th Street and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Cops said the van was traveling westbound on Atlantic Avenue shortly after midnight when the gunfire erupted.

No other injuries were reported, and there have been no arrests.
lets wait a day and see what the real story is.
