IN THE STREETS & ON THE WEB

The Memphis police are charging that a NBA player was DEALING SIZZURP while actively playing in the league.

According to the Memphis District Attorney's office, Shawne Williams, a player for the NJ Nets, was indicted on four counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture/deliver/sell, and four counts of conspiracy to manufacture/deliver/sell a controlled substance, a codeine-based syrup.

Apparently dude got caught in a STING OPERATION conducted by the Memphis police called "Operation: Lockdown" that targeted high level drug dealers.

And the news gets EVEN WORSE for Shawne. The NJ Nets, dropped him as soon as they learned he was going to be indicted. So dude is currently LOCKED up pending release on $16,000 bail. And he faces up to 2 years in PRISON.

Shawne played 3 years in the NBA. He was scheduled to make $2,416,066 this year.
