New York City's annual Pakistan Day parade is one of the largest Pakistan day festivals held outside of Pakistan. Where thousands of American Pakistanis gather each year from the tri-state area (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut) to celebrate the Independence Day of Pakistan.
This year was obviously no different. Strict security was in place and the parade went off peacefully until the very end, where a massive fight broke out between two rivals groups. The issue of so-called " Bronx vs Brooklyn". The violence broke out after the group encountered rival group members, words were exchanged, a scuffle broke out about 10 minutes later police officers showed up, they used pepper spray to disperse a majority of the crowd.
Paki Parade Route :- Parade sets out from 42nd Street at Madison Avenue towards Madison Square Park , where musical concert takes place with special items to entertain kids and ladies.
Brooklyn Mela :- Coney Island Avenue b/w Avenue H & Foster Avenue Brooklyn, N.Y in that little neighborhood which is also known as little Pakistan.
