It’s not monkey business, it’s monkey science.
Marking only the second time sex has been observed between two wild animals from wildly different species, scientists recorded a male snow monkey attempting to mount a female sika deer.
According to the Guardian, researchers discussed the encounter they witnessed on Japan's Yakushima Island in a paper published in the journal Primates while footage of the interspecies affair was posted to YouTube earlier this week.
In the video, the snow monkey can be seen mounting at least two female deer, with the first allowing the interaction to occur.
Researchers concluded that a lack of options for the monkey led to the foray in the forest, stating, "The most realistic hypothesis would be that of mate deprivation, which states that males with limited access to females are more likely to display this behavior."
The only other time interspecies sex between wild animals was reported involved an Antarctic fur seal copulating with a king penguin.
That monkey was bored af ….. He was like ….. Fu*k it …… Ass is Ass …….
