An Australian man's good deed nearly cost him $100,000.
The elderly fellow simply wanted to donate a suitcase to The Salvation Army, the London Telegraph reported.
Unfortunately, he had apparently forgotten about the loads of cash he had sewn into the case's lining.
"Any person could have bought the suitcase and be completely unaware that there's anything in the lining," said Brad Halse, a spokesman for The Salvation Army.
According to the Telegraph, someone did discover the money, and a man and woman have been arrested for failing to return it.
Most of it has been recovered, police said. The cash had been divided up and deposited into different bank accounts.
