WTF! LL COOL J RELEASES A COUNTRY SONG PRAISING CONFEDERATE GENERALS!

Brad Paisley's "Accidental Racist" song has certainly caused a stir for its blunt take on being a "white man coming to you from the southland," and LL Cool J's added description of feeling like a "newfangled Django" in his included rap … but the country crooner isn't apologizing. In fact, the conversation it has started appears to be the response Paisley wanted.

The widely panned ebony and ivory anthem has been drubbed on blogs calling it "the worst song ever," but on Monday night Paisley, 40, took to Twitter in defense of his work.

"I wouldn't change a thing," he wrote, at the end of a string of tweeted thought. "This is a record meant to be FAR from easy listening. But fun. Like life. Have a ball, ya'll."

Perhaps by "far from easy listening," Paisley meant having to endure lyrics like "if you don't judge my gold chains, I'll forget the iron chains," rapped by LL Cool J.

“It’s not a stunt,” he said of the collaboration, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “It was really obvious to me that we still have issues as a nation with [race]. … And I think the younger generations are really kind of looking for ways out of this.”

The controversial song is featured on Paisley's upcoming album, "Officially Alive," and the singer previously explained to Good Morning America that the completed work pushes out of his comfort zone. More lyrics from the song explain Paisley's plight of being "caught between southern pride and southern blame."

"We decided not to respect boundaries," he told host Lara Spencer. "We thought anything that helps tell the story and, I guess, be entertaining, we thought it was time to incorporate it.”

Monday night on Twitter, Paisley elaborated on the range of effects he wants his new album to have.

"As you buy this album, I hope it triggers emotions," he wrote. "I hope you feel joy, heartache, triumph, surprise; you laugh, cry, nudge someone beside you. I hope the album rocks you, soothes you, raises questions, answers, evokes feelings, all the way through until Officially Alive"
