WTF! FLORIDA GOV. BANS WEARING PANTS UNDER YA A$$!

Pull up or be punished.

Republican Florida Gov. Rick Scott signed a bill Thursday banning students in the Sunshine State from wearing sagging pants that expose "underwear or body parts in an indecent or vulgar manner."

Under the new rules, which require school boards to adopt the so-called "baggy pants bill," students will be warned and a parent notified the first time they wear pants deemed too low-slung.

On the second offense, the student will be barred from extracurricular activities. And on the third strike, the fashion dud will face a three-day, in-school suspension.

While several cities across the nation have adopted similar legislation, Florida and Arkansas are the only states to have passed such measures. Critics argue the bill is a crackdown on culture and not clothes.

During his presidential campaign, Barack Obama called baggy pants laws a "waste of time," though he suggested that "brothers should pull up their pants."

Scott, who took office in January, signed off on a slew of new legislation this week, including a law preventing doctors from asking patients about gun ownership. He also approved a controversial measure that requires welfare recipients to undergo drug testing.
