WTF! BROOKLYN MAN KILLS HIS MOTHER, SLASHES HIS FATHER'S THROAT & JUMPS IN FRONT OF A TRAIN!

A deranged Brooklyn man fatally stabbed his mother and repeatedly slashed his father's throat Monday before he threw himself in the path of a subway train, police said.
Ryan Devaney survived his encounter with an oncoming G-train and was pulled screaming from the tracks before being rushed to Lutheran Medical Center. He was listed in serious condition there.

His mother, Margaret Devaney, was stabbed in the eye and abdomen. She died later at Methodist Hospital, police said.

Ryan's dad, Raymond Devaney, who was stabbed twice in the throat, was in critical condition at Methodist, police said.

Police were combing through the blood-spattered Windsor Terrace home, which was decorated with Christmas lights, trying to piece together what happened.

Devaney, 31, has had at least one brush with the law. He was arrested two years ago in Palm Beach County, Fla. for possession of drug paraphernalia, records show.

Neighbors said Devaney was mentally ill and his parents struggled to get him the help he needed.

"He has been in an out of institutions," said Kevin Ryan. "They were trying to do the best they can as parents."

Christos Bohtis, who said he painted the Devaneys' house two years ago, said "there were fights" in the house between Devaney and his parents.

"He would mumble to himself," added Raj Patel, who owns the Krupa Grocery on Prospect Park West where the Devaney family shopped. "He would walk around talking to himself."

Police responded to a call for help at 8:15 a.m. after horrified students at the nearby Holy Name of Jesus School spotted Devaney's wounded parents staggering out of their Howard Place home.

Andres Solis, 19, said he was walking to his job at a local Key Foods when he saw the wounded parents sprawled out on the sidewalk.

"He was bleeding from the neck," Solis said of Raymond Devaney. "Then I saw a lady laying on the floor, bleeding, asking for help."

Solis said the some sanitation workers raced over to help them before cops arrived.

Meanwhile, Devaney had marched over to the 15th St. station and apparently tried to kill himself at 8:22 a.m. by jumping off the platform and into the path of a subway train, police said.

He was rushed to Lutheran Medical Center.

The incident snarled the morning commute for legions of straphangers.
