WTF! BRONX MOM USED HER 11 YEAR OLD TO PICK POCKET PEOPLE!

A Bronx mom and her 11-year-old son have been busted as a pickpocket duo after they were caught in action on at least two stores' security cameras, cops said Monday.

Carolyn Taylor, 35, is accused of prompting her son, Enrique Tate, to snatch a wallet from an unattended baby stroller at a Gap Kids store.

"What kind of mother is she who's actually training her kid to be a pickpocket?" said Stuti Khanna, 31, of the Upper West Side, whose wallet was ripped off . "I'm just glad they were traced down."

Taylor's rap sheet shows she's been arrested 11 times since 1993 on charges ranging from petit larceny to possession of stolen property. But cops believe this was the first time she's been nabbed with her child.

They were arrested Sunday night after detectives tracked them down and hauled them in for questioning.

Khanna's wallet was stolen January 15 at the Gap Kids on Broadway near W. 67th St.

Store security cameras showed the boy lifting Khanna's wallet from a diaper bag attached to her toddler's baby stroller. He quickly left the store with his mother.

Police said Taylor and her son were also videotaped the same day shoplifting and using Khanna's American Express card at a W. 72nd St. drugstore.

In the drugstore video, Taylor appears to be directing her son on what to steal while a clerk is not looking. Taylor also appears to be stuffing stolen merchandise in her bag.

Cops said Taylor used the stolen credit card at two other Upper West Side businesses, including a video game store.

Taylor was arraigned early Tuesday on grand larceny charges and granted bail of $7,500 bond or $5,000 cash. Her son was charged as a juvenile and was expected to have a hearing in family court.

"There needs to be punishment in some way, but there should be help to get her mommy-hood together," Khanna said of Taylor.

Taylor's East Tremont neighbors were stunned by the allegations.

"She's a nice girl. I'm shocked. I can't believe this," said Viola Francis, 70, who has known Taylor for about five years.

Francis said Taylor, who also has a 13-year-old daughter, said she worked as a home health aid for an elderly woman.

She described Taylor's son as shy and on the heavy side.

"He's not a bad boy," Francis said.

No one answered at Taylor's apartment Monday, but a note was left on the door by the city Administration for Children's Services.

"Please contact me as soon as possible to discuss issues concerning you and or your children," read the note from a child protective specialist.
