WTF! 56% IN JAPAN WOULD CHOOSE THE INTERNET OVER SEX!

Twenty-one percent of Americans say they would go without sex for a whole year in order to maintain access to the Internet, but that pales in comparison to Japan, a new study finds.

The Boston Consulting Group, a global management consulting firm, surveyed 1,000 people in many different countries to evaluate just how connected people are to the Internet. One of the countries surveyed was Japan, where a whopping 56 percent of people said they would give up intercourse in order to keep their modems running for one year.

In the BCG survey, 77 percent of Americans said they would (gulp) give up chocolate, 73 percent admitted they would refrain from alcohol and 69 percent even said they would stop drinking coffee to keep Internet access for one year.

Some Americans even value their modems more than cleanliness. Seven percent would be willing to give up showers for one year.

As part of the survey, Americans also said they would need to be paid approximately $2,500 to live without the Internet.

The numbers may not come as much of a shock considering how fast the Internet is growing. There are 1.6 billion Internet users in the world today, and that number will nearly double by 2016, BCG partner and author Dominic Field told yahoo.com.
