Cancer-stricken star Dennis Hopper is seeking a divorce from his wife of 14 years, public records show.
Hopper, 73, is reportedly on his death bed but managed to file a divorce petition Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing "irreconcilable difference" as the cause of the split from his 42-year-old bride.

He was diagnosed with prostate cancer last year and recent reports indicate his condition is getting worse.

Hopper married his fifth wife, Victoria Hopper, in 1996. He is seeking joint custody of their daughter, Galen, 6.

Hopper's notable films include "Rebel Without a Cause" in 1955, "Easy Rider" in 1969 and "Apocalypse Now" in 1979.
