Three suspects - including one found carrying a handgun - were arrested after the 3:25 a.m. gunfire Saturday that left a pool of blood on an East New York sidewalk, sources said.
A 20-year-old man who stopped by the crowded all-night bash on his way home from grabbing a slice of pizza was killed by a gunshot to the left side of his torso, his girlfriend told the Daily News.
"He was just an innocent bystander," she said hours after the killing. "It was someone else's fight. He had nothing to do with it but got killed."
The dead man, who has a 1-year-old son, was slain on the eve of Father's Day.
The house party, advertised with flyers, drew a huge crowd paying a $5 cover charge. The shooting was apparently sparked by a fight between two attendees, and police sources said multiple shooters opened fire.
"You could hear the anguish in people's voices with the yelling," said Stacy Spellman, who lives one block away. The 47-year-old man said he heard three separate bursts of gunfire, and then a woman's screams.
"Yo man, get up, get up, get up!" she shouted, apparently to one of the gunshot victims.
The bullets began flying inside the first floor of the two-family house before the violence spilled into the street as party-goers fled in terror, officials said.
"Police said when they rolled up on the place, shots were being fired outside and inside," City Council member Charles Barron said at the scene.
"Another officer said ... bodies were laying all over the street," Barron said. "You could see the blood on the sidewalk."
Spellman said the shooting went on for about five minutes. Police later recovered two handguns: a 9mm and a .40-caliber semi-automatic.
One of the suspected shooters was carrying one of the weapons, while the other gun was tossed into a shrub around the corner from the house. Sources said the trio in custody were ages 20, 21 and 28.
The wounded victims were taken to various hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds. Most of the revelers were in their teens or early 20s, sources said.
