WNBA STAR CHAMIQUE HOLDSCLAW ARRESTED FOR SMASHIN' & SHOOTIN' UP HER EX-GIRLFRIENDS CAR!

Former WNBA star and Olympic gold medalist Chamique Holdsclaw was arrested on Thursday for smashing the windows of her ex-lovers’ car with a baseball bat and then firing a gun into the vehicle, police said.

Atlanta police said the attack happened on Tuesday after Holdsclaw, 35, tailed her ex-girlfriend and former teammate Jennifer Lacy from a parking lot to a friend’s house, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

When Lacy parked her Range Rover, Holdsclaw got out of her car with a baseball bat and smashed the driver’s side and rear passenger windows, cops said.

She then pulled out a 9-mm pistol and fired a shot into the car before fleeing, cops said.

Cops suspected Holdscaw may have poured gasoline in the car beforehand and was trying to cause an explosion when she fired the shot, local television station WSBTV reported.

Lacy told police she smelled gas in the car. She wasn’t injured.

Lacy and Holdsclaw played together for the Atlanta Dream in 2009, and Lacy currently plays for the Tulsa Shock.

In a statement released through the Shock, Lacy said, “I want to thank my family, friends, fans and Shock family for their concern during this difficult time.

“I have never felt more love from my fans in supporting me.”

Holdsclaw, who grew up in Queens and won four straight state championships at Christ the King Regional High School, turned herself into police on Thursday.

She was charged with aggravated assault, damage to property and reckless conduct and was being held on $10,000 bond.

Holdsclaw has struggled with depression.

In her autobiography, "Breaking Through: Beating The Odds Shot After Shot," released earlier this year, she recounted attempting suicide in 2006 by overdosing on her depression meds.

She appeared to refer to the attack in a tweet posted on Tuesday.

“Everything is a lesson learned. We all make decisions good and bad. As long as we grow from them that's all that matters. #lessonlearned,” the message said.
