Wiz Khalifa Sued For Allegedly Ripping Off Song 'Most Of Us'

This surely wasn't music to Wiz Khalifa's ears.

The rapper is being sued for allegedly ripping off a song from another artist who says he shared a demo tape with Khalifa in 2012, according to court documents obtained Friday by the Daily News.

Fellow hip hop artist Cymple Man — real name Dustin Bennett — claims he gave a copy of his CD to the "Black and Yellow" rapper after meeting him at the airport in Salt Lake City with the goal of ultimately collaborating with him.

The demo featured an original song from 2010 titled "Most of Us," according to the lawsuit filed Thursday in New York.

But Khalifa never got in touch with Cymple Man after their meeting — and in 2016 Khalifa released his own song titled "Most of Us" on his self-titled album.

Cymple Man is now accusing Khalifa of stealing major components of his song to create his own "Most of Us."

"Khalifa's hit song 'Most of Us' unmistakably copies the essential elements of Bennett's 2010 Copyrighted Work 'Most of Us', including by misappropriating both the essential lyrics of Bennett's Work as well as the refrain and chorus," the lawsuit charges. "Both tracks have the same title, the exact words 'most of us' appear approximately 80 times throughout the Khalifa song and Khalifa used the exact lyrics in the exact manner as Bennett."

Cymple Man claims he's never received credit for the song from Khalifa, nor has he gotten any monetary compensation.

He also requested Khalifa's producers stop using and selling the song.

“It’s remarkable that Wiz does, time and time again, steal work from other lyricists,” said Bennett's lawyer, Richard Roth, of The Roth Law Firm.

Cymple is seeking unspecified damages.
