Wiz Khalifa is about to get higher … musically.
The rapper and marijuana aficionado stopped by New York's Hot 97 morning radio show Tuesday to dish on a major move he's making in his career.
"I got Nas," he confessed about the upcoming "We Dem Boyz" remix, which has no release date yet.
"You know why I got Nas, because Nas is the original bottle popper, designer, clothes rocker, weed smoker, young, fly n---a," Khalifa explained. "He was doing all that. I feel like our generation needs to re-see that from Nas and know him from that."
Outside of music, the "Hold Up" rapper revealed a collaboration of a different kind.
When asked if he's every gotten high with Rihanna he casually confessed, "Yea, that's the homie," adding that he smokes more than the "Diamonds" singer and was trying to convert her to papers because "she smokes blunts and I smoke joints."
Khalifa's weed-centric lifestyle is not something he is ashamed of. In fact, he was exposed to it early on in life because his mother enjoyed the mellow plant, too. Now, she supports his choice to toke up.
"I woke up and there was a cup of coffee and a joint by my bed," he said, admitting that his mom was the one who prepared his breakfast of champions.
While his wife, Amber Rose, doesn't smoke, Khalifa said she's doing "a good wife's duty" by also preparing his joints.
"It helps align everything in the day and get everything together," he said.
His cloud of clarity was momentarily interrupted recently when the "Roll Up" rapper was arrest for marijuana possession when trying to board a flight in El Paso, Texas.
However, his stint in lock up didn't stop him from sharing a "jail selfie" with his over 14 million Twitter followers.
"Free Trap Wiz," he wrote May 25.
"They're tryna figure out how many grams I had," he added. "How ironic."
The real irony was that he got behind bars with his cellphone.
"They didn't search me enough so I took a selfie in jail," he told Hot 97 when asked how he was able to manage bringing his phone with him.
