These shoes were made for throwing, apparently.
On Thursday, one woman chucked her kicks at hip-hop star Talib Kweli when he spoke about Black Lives Matter during a free concert in Ithaca, N.Y.
Kweli paused the concert, intended to celebrate the reopening of the recently renovated pedestrian mall, to talk about Black Lives Matter. According to The Ithaca Voice, that’s when the unhappy wedge-wearer took aim.
“We live in a society that tells us that black people's lives don't matter ... So, do you know what we say?" Kweli asked. "We say black lives matter, too ... We say black lives matter also.
"What we do not say is 'black lives only matter' because we're not about that bulls---. We do not say is that we hate anybody. We do not say death to police or any of this right-wing conservative bulls--- ..."
Somewhere in there, shoe-tossing occurred and Kweli booted the offender from the concert, calling her Miley Cyrus and telling her to “get the f--- out.” He added "And take your booty a-- shoes, Miley! See, someone like that is a f---ing coward. ... That's a coward right there; that's a coward right there. Anybody whose (inaudible) when people of color or any group of people stands up for themselves if you're threatened by that you're a coward. I know a lot of white brothers and sisters who stand in solidarity for what the f-- I am saying."
Kweli later took to Twitter to gloat.
