WHAT AN IDIOT! YOU COMMIT A MURDER! STAY THE F**K OFF YA CELL PHONE! STUPID!

A nationwide manhunt for an crazy-eyed ex-con wanted for hacking his estranged wife to death in a midtown salon ended Friday when he was nabbed in Maryland, cops said.

Authorities captured Michael Kenny after they tracked him down through his cell phone use in Anne Arundel County, sources said.

"I want him to get life," said Davis Ramkissoon, 21, the oldest son of victim Denise Kenny.

"I want him to live and suffer," he told The Daily News. "He killed my mother, he broke my little brother - he took away my family."

The 42-year-old tried to flee in a car when he spotted detectives in Maryland, authorities said. But local police threw down spike strips and blew out the vehicle's tires.

"Then the NYPD surrounded and captured him," Lt. James Fredericks of Anne Arundel County Police Department said.

The frantic search began Thursday afternoon after Denise gave Kenny a haircut, a shave and a final rejection.

An obsessed Kenny, sitting in a barber chair, begged her to take him back, but the mother of two spurned the ex-con with a 22-year rap sheet.

When he returned hours later, the couple argued before heading to an upstairs bathroom to talk.

Minutes later, Denise's horrifying screams echoed down the stairs. Fleeing the scene, Michael Kenny tracked her blood through the salon with his shoes, cops said.

"There was blood all over the walls, all over the toilet tank and seat," Ramkissoon said of the gruesome scene. "He broke the tiles with her body. She struggled for her life."

He said his mother met the ex-con on the E train to Jamaica three years ago.

"She smiled and he spoke to her. He conned her. He said he didn't have a place to live and she said she could stay with me and my family," he said.

Michael Kenny was a drugged-out danger from the start, blowing through $2,300 in drugs in a weekend and ransacking Denise's apartment to buy dope.

"She never smoked, she never drank, she never did drugs. She did everything by the Bible and this was her fate," her son said. "She used to say, 'Don't worry, he won't hurt me.'"

But on Jan. 8, 2010, Kenny attacked Denise, choking her and throwing her onto their bed. She kicked him out, got a restraining order and called the police when he defied it and came to their Rockaway, Queens, apartment.

Those moves sent him back to prison, but he was still obsessed with Denise, his Brooklyn halfway house roommate said.

"He would talk on the phone ... I would hear him saying, 'But I love you. I love you so much. I can't live without you,'" the roommate told the Daily News.

"That was definitely his focus. He would talk and ramble on about how much he loved her all the time."

The cramped room where Kenny lived at the shared Brooklyn house was littered with clothes and trash. A book titled "Strategy of Satan" rested atop the television.

Denise Kenny's family in Trinidad said they knew Michael Kenny was explosive but could never have imagined the brutal murder.

"She always tried for the best. I guess she couldn't find it at home in Trinidad, so I guess she went to New York to find it," said Denise's older sister, Sherrifa Mohammed.

"And he took it from her."
