Waka Flocka Flame Says Caitlyn Jenner Is "Rebuking God"

Waka Flocka Flame angered a lot of radio listeners by speaking his mind.

The Atlanta-based rapper, real name Juaquin Malphurs, addressed the hype surrounding Caitlyn Jenner during an interview with Power 105.1's "The Breakfast Club" on Friday.

Some critics of the interview claimed the rapper’s position was heavily transphobic.

The 29-year-old said Jenner, whom he referred to as Bruce, is “rebuking God” by choosing to identify as a woman.

"You know what the world is today, man? Women are afraid to be a wife and young males are afraid to be men," Flame explained to hosts Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee, and DJ Envy.

"It's like it's not cool, they're not marketing that. They don't market families and husbands and wives no more. They're marketing young girls, transgenders, they're marketing evil, man," Flame added.

He said he fears young children becoming more influenced by transgender people on TV, since adults are often "too busy" to monitor what minors are watching.

“I ain’t saying nothing against like a Bruce Jenner, you are who you are when God made you, not who you became after he did. That’s rebuking God.”

It didn't take long for the morning listeners to weigh in on the rapper’s deep-cutting commentary.

Flame defended himself shortly after the controversial interview aired.

“So now I’m homophobic because I don’t agree with #CatlinJenner smh,” he tweeted. “Real people respect real s--t not headlines #WackFlockaFlame.”

The "Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta" star, who launched a short-lived presidential campaign earlier this year, is no stranger to conflict. He famously pulled out of a concert at the University of Oklahoma — drawing the ire of excited students — after a video was released showcasing members of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity engaging in a racist chant.

Even after receiving an onslaught of backlash from fans on Twitter, the rapper maintained his position a day later. "I have nothing against transgender people. I simply feel we need to be careful what our children see as 'sensationalized," he tweeted.
