Vince Staples Announces Cry Baby Tour

Vince Staples has announced a North American tour in support the post-punk-inspired Cry Baby record. The album, which was supported by the confrontational videos for “Blackberry Marmalade” and “White Flag,” sees Staples pivoting from hip-hop for a sound filled with blown-out vocals, deep grooves, and hard-hitting bass. His most experimental album since 2016’s Big Fish Theory, which featured production from late hyperpop pioneer SOPHIE, Cry Baby will be supported by a North American tour later this year. In the lead-up to and following the release of Cry Baby, Vince Staples performed tracks from the album at album release shows and music festivals with a full band. He’s expected to be joined by a full band for the North American tour when it kicks off in October. The North American tour will start this October with a show in Atlanta and run through to November. The tour will stop at cities including Houston, Philadelphia, Boston, Detroit, Toronto, Chicago, Austin, and San Francisco, among others.
