USHER'S FAMILY FRIEND UNDER INVESTIGATION FOR JET SKI ACCIDENT!

Usher’s reportedly brain-dead stepson remained in the hospital Monday as officials released the name of the man who allegedly struck him with a jet ski.

Family friend Jeffrey S. Hubbard of Atlanta is under investigation for the Friday afternoon collision with the 11-year-old boy who was riding in an inner tube on Georgia’s Lake Lanier, an official told the Daily News.

“Basically, a pontoon was pulling two juveniles on an inner tube, and the watercraft ran over the top of them,” Sgt. Mike Burgamy with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources told The News.

He said two of his rangers witnessed what appeared to be a tragic accident.

Alcohol was not a factor, and investigators do not believe it was a mechanical malfunction, he said.

Both young victims – the other being an unidentified 15-year-old girl – were wearing life jackets, he said.

The girl’s face was submerged when she was plucked from the lake by rescuers, but the boy’s face remained above water the entire time, he said, so his injuries did not involve partial drowning.

“One minute the jet ski was running around, the next he ran over the top of them. It happened that quickly,” he said. “It appears the watercraft did strike both juveniles, with the male taking the brunt of the force.”

Both victims were airlifted to Child’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. A hospital spokeswoman declined to discuss the case.

The boy’s mother, Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Foster, gave a short statement to Radar Online expressing the dire situation.

“He’s bad,” the heartsick mom said.

Usher, whose full name is Usher Raymond IV, has two younger sons with Foster and reportedly was close to the boy, the son of Foster’s ex-husband Ryan Glover.

“Everyone, PLEASE pray for Usher and Tameka’s son! This is the time they really need your prayers,” singer Fantasia tweeted over the weekend.

“Praying that Usher and Tameka’s son is ok…” Russell Simmons added.

Burgamy said he couldn’t comment on potential charges but said the boy’s medical outcome could prove critical.

“It depends on the male’s condition. With certain things we have to wait and see,” he said. “Once we gather all our info, we’ll talk to the District Attorney and discuss it with them to decide what action to take.”

With Foster reportedly keeping a vigil at her son’s hospital bed, Usher had a legal victory in an Atlanta courtroom related to his latest alleged stalker.

A judge ruled Monday that Darshelle Jones-Rakestraw must keep her distance from the R&B superstar under a new restraining order.

Jones Rakestraw was picked up outside Usher’s Atlanta-area residence late last month after the singer saw her via security camera sitting on his front porch with her iPad plugged into a house outlet.

“Ms. Jones-Rakestraw was saying that she was the wife of Mr. Raymond and he makes all her decisions,” a police report obtained by The News revealed.

She was taken to a mental hospital and later posted a video on YouTube claiming Usher left her voicemails and gave her money in an ongoing relationship.
