Usher dishes details on the Biebs.
The R&B singer opened up to Ellen DeGeneres Tuesday about his 19-year-old pop star protégé and what he hopes for him as he grows in his career.
"I think all of us in some way have humble beginnings that pan out to be incredible and we hope that in his transition as friends and family who has helped him be who he is, " he said.
Bieber has made some negative headlines lately for driving recklessly around his neighborhood as well as controversial social media posts but Usher defends the teen.
"In this day’s age of social media, there is no privacy and that kind of trial and elimination period is kind of done in front of a camera ... Many other celebrities are products of it and some come out bad and some come out good,” he continued.
"I can't imagine," the daytime host said in response.
"I am hoping for the best. I don't look at it as a negative though. I look at it as a teenager. A teenager having to live his life in front of a camera. Imagine if you had to do that as a teenager. "
When it comes to the Biebs' state of maturity, Usher is behind him stressing that he hopes "that he'll continue to just mature."
DeGeneres asks how often he keep in touch with the "Beauty and the Beat" singer.
"We talk as much as possible. I mean, me and Scooter [Braun] (Bieber’s manager) we stay in contact. Obviously when I can be of help I do so. Reach out and stay connected."
