Usher Flies To Panama For A Sit Down With Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber's Panamanian getaway appears to be the perfect setting for an intervention.

Usher, who discovered the 19-year-old pop star in 2009, has reportedly flown down to Nitro City, a resort in Punta Chame, Panama, to be with his prodigy. He was joined by Bieber's manager Scooter Braun and childhood friend Ryan Butler, TMZ reports.



A few photos of Usher, 35, and Braun, 32, posing with Panamanian fans surfaced on Instagram and Twitter Saturday. They are planning a "sit down" with Bieber, according to the gossip site.

The Canadian singer's mother, Pattie Mallette, and another close friend, Ryan Good, may have also joined them, Hollywood Life reports.

Several excited "Beliebers" tweeted sightings of the singer's "original crew" in Panama, which apparently refers to the people who surrounded the pop star in the beginnings of his career.

Before his arrest Thursday, rumors that Bieber's drinking and drug abuse had gotten out of control began to surface — especially after a bizarre egg-throwing incident with his neighbor that resulted in a police raid at the pop star's California home.

There were also reports that a substantial amount of drugs and drug paraphernalia were seen in his house, though after the raid, Los Angeles police officials maintained they did not see any evidence of Bieber's alleged habit.

The apparent downward spiral led some in his team, including manager Braun, to urge him to enter rehab, sources said.

Bieber was arrested in Miami last week for driving under the influence, drag racing and driving with an expired Georgia license. He admitted to police that he had taken prescription pills, smoked marijuana and consumed alcohol at the time of his arrest.

"Been a long day," Braun tweeted Thursday, after Bieber's arrest played out on national news outlets.

"Bottom line is we are defined by how we handle adversity. Be there when it counts."
