Well, that’s not exactly model behavior.
Tyson Beckford, the former face of Ralph Lauren, brawled with DJ Ruckus outside a New York City club over supermodel Shanina Shaik, TMZ is reporting.
Witnesses told the gossip site that the brawl outside Meatpacking District hotspot Up & Down involved lingering bad feelings over Ruckus’ engagement to Shaik, 28, who broke up with Beckford last year after seven years of on- and off-dating.
Beckford, 45, had met the leggy beauty on the set of the reality competion series, “Make Me a Supermodel,” in 2008 — he was the host, and she appeared as a contestant.
The 32-year-old Ruckus, who has a residency in Las Vegas, had once had been friends with Beckford. But that dissolved when he swooped in to woo Shaik, and proposed to her in January during a vacation in the Maldives.
According to the report, Beckford got the upper hand early — literally, as well as figuratively — by getting on top of Ruckus and raining punches.
But then one of Ruckus’s friends intervened with a blow to Beckford’s head. The brawlers traded shots to each other’s groin before the fight was broken up, TMZ reported.
By the time the police arrived after being called by a doorman, the fight had ended and both Ruckus and Beckford had left the scene. No arrests were made.
