TMZ reported that Tyrese was experiencing bad chest pains and felt dehydrated, and received fluids and underwent tests to find out the cause of his apparent pains. He was later photographed leaving the hospital.
A source close to Norma said, “She hopes he is OK and seeks the proper treatment. His daughter deserves to have a stable father and relationship with her dad.”
But a different source close to the situation told Page Six on Friday that Tyrese’s hospitalization is just “more antics” and “more manipulating” in his ongoing fight with Norma.
The 38-year-old “Fast & Furious” actor is engaged in a custody battle with Norma over their daughter Shayla. He is also facing allegations of child abuse.
The LA County of Department of Children and Family Services is investigating Tyrese regarding claims he struck Shayla so much that she was unable to sit. Norma also has claimed that her ex-husband “beat” Shayla between 12 and 16 times.
She is looking to obtain a permanent restraining order against him and is seeking full physical and legal custody, fearing Tyrese could take their child overseas to Dubai, where he has professional ties.
Tyrese claims Norma’s allegations stem from her bitterness about him re-marrying.
