Tyrese Gibson's Ex-Wife Accuses Him Of Abusing Their Daughter

Tyrese Gibson is being accused of abusing his 12-year-old daughter by his ex-wife, who the actor claims is “bitter” and “resentful.”

Norma Mitchell Gibson, who was married to Tyrese between 2007 and 2009, claims he pushed their 10-year-old daughter Shyala to the ground, “pinned her face down, put his knees on her back, grabbed her hands with one arm and beat her with the other,” according to documents obtained by People.

She was granted a temporary restraining order against the rapper until a hearing on Oct. 2, according to People.

Tyrese took to Instagram to slam his ex, who he claims was being bitter, resentful and just plain mean with the accusations just because things didn’t work out between them.

“Norma I know you can see this, I'm sorry I got re-married, I'm sorry we didn't work out I'm sorry you haven't been able to find another man since we separated...... Sometimes you get married and have kids and things just don't work out, but I have NEVER wished harm on you,” he wrote. “I was hoping by now you got over what we used to be... Being bitter, resentful and just felt (sic) out mean will has never been good for our daughter .... But I see the attacks just won't stop so I believe this too will pass and God and the courts will reveal the truth.”

Norma claimed that Tyrese suffers from bipolar disorder and was fearful that he would take their daughter to Dubai where he’s threatened to take her in the past.

The documents obtained by People also allege he hit the young girl “between 12 and 16 times.”

The “Fast and Furious” star denied any accusations that he was a bad dad and said he only wanted to be able to co-parent with his ex, noting, “child custody family issues are the worst.” He also insisted he would be sharing “more truths” soon.

Norma was granted physical and legal custody of Shayla until the hearing and Tyrese was not allowed to see his daughter prior to the ruling.

Tyrese recently married social worker Samantha Lee Gibson earlier this year in a private ceremony.
