Rosa Lee Ransby received a Christmas present this year she'll never forget.
Filmmaker Tyler Perry has come to her rescue after the 88-year-old great-grandmother lost her home in a fire last week
According to WSBTV.com in Atlanta, Perry, 41, has vowed to rebuild Ransby's home - and give her a place to stay in the meantime.
Ransby and her family, who escaped Tuesday's fire but lost all their possessions, will live nearby for the next year in a home rented and furnished by Perry, while a new house is built on her old property.
"It's made my Christmas," Coweta County Fire Chief Todd Moore told the site. "I've been doing this a long time, seen a lot of bad things come and go but this is special."
