OK! Magazine published a story in their Dec. 28 issue featuring messages between Tyga and the underage girl. The magazine alleged that this interaction was to blame for the brief breakup between Tyga and his girlfriend Kylie Jenner.
A blurred photo of the teen was published along with the story, but the ninth grader said many people identified her. Molly is an aspiring model and singer. Tyga and the teen had a conversation through Instagram and text messages. Tyga complimented her looks and asked if she would ever be in the Los Angeles area. The teen was adamant that she did not give any of messages to OK! Magazine.
“Even though OK! Magazine pixelated my face and did not use my name, a lot of people could tell it was me,” the girl said. “As a result of the story and the photo, I received a lot of negative attention, not only from people in my own state but from all over the place. I don’t deserve the negative attention I have been getting as a result of this photo. I am speaking out today because I don’t want what happened to me to happen to any other young girl.”
Celebrity attorney Gloria Allred is representing the teen and joined her at the press conference.
“She feels that she needs to speak out and so does her mom. People need to be accountable,” Allred said.
Allred said that OK! Magazine implied her client wanted to have a sexual relationship with Tyga, who seemingly did know the girl’s age when he contacted her. Allred stated that she and the teen’s family were not ruling out legal action.
