New York rapper Tru Life, real name Roberto Guzman Rosado, Jr, reportedly turned himself into custody last night for a first degree murder charge.
Though details are still unknown, the charge may stem from an incident earlier this month involving his brother.
On June 16, five gang members, one of the men allegedly Tru Life's brother, jumped two men in a Manhattan apartment building as retaliation against an earlier shooting of a individual named Michael Slater.
The ambush at the apartment building resulted in both men being stabbed repeatedly.
The 18 year old teen, whose name was not disclosed, died on the operating table, and the other man, 30 year old Jason Black, survived the attack but is listed in critical condition.
Once dubbed Jay-Z's protege, Tru Life won over many fans after unleashing a comical and lyrical assault on Jim Jones, Cam'ron and other Dipset members during their beef with Jay.
The inherited beef with Dipset didn't remain on wax however, as Life was reportedly involved in physical altercations with both Jim Jones and Cam'ron respectively.
We will keep you updated as details become available.
