Trey Songz came out onstage while Keyshia Cole was performing during the Houston stop of her The Way It Is 20th anniversary tour on Friday and she wasn’t too welcoming of the surprise gesture initially. In a since-deleted Instagram Story, Cole shared a clip of Songz performing during her set. After fans slammed the unofficial special guest due to his sexual assault allegations, Cole called out her team for not making her aware of his appearance. “Whoever brought Trey out without letting me know weird asf,” said the “Love” singer wrote. “If it happens again, you will be fired asap. Don’t bring nobody back out on my stage without me able to give them a FORMAL INTRODUCTION. I APPRECIATE EVERYONE WHO COMES TO SHOW LOVE. 20th anniversary of The Way It Is. Y’all weird asf. Cole considered the move to be “tacky” and noted, “I be busy but not enough to NOT KNOW WHAT’S GOING ON on my STAGE! Songz responded to her fury not long after. “Waited for you b4 and after. Show was incredible!!!!” he wrote on his own Instagram Stories along with a video where he praised the audience. “Amazing energy out there,” he expressed. “I love Keyshia to death. You already know.” Cole replied to the crooner’s sentiment, writing, “I wasn’t able to say hello or goodbye @treysongz. But thank u for coming.”
