Rapper Travis Scott has pleaded guilty to reckless conduct charges after apparently inciting an audience stampede that trampled a 15-year-old girl.
The Houston-born rapper — who bred chaos during his Lollapalooza set in August by urging fans to push through security barricades — was ordered under court supervision for one year on Tuesday, Billboard reports.
Video footage showed Rihanna's rumored boyfriend riling up concertgoers at the Chicago festival by chanting, "We want rage! We want rage!" and encouraging them to hoist themselves up onstage.
When the green shirt-clad security staff tried to prevent zealous fans from joining Scott, he bellowed, “Everybody in a green shirt, get the f--- back!”
“I want chaos! Don't you kick them off; don't you kick them off,” he yelled. “Middle finger up to security right now!”
Scott, whose real name is Jacques Webster, performed just one song before event staff shut down the production. Chicago police arrested him shortly afterward, and he was eventually released on bail.
Initial reports said no one was injured, but it later came to light that the 15-year-old had been hurt in the melee.
The rapper will open for Rihanna on the North American leg of her “Anti” world tour, which begins Feb. 26.
