IN THE STREETS & ON THE WEB

Toni Braxton is back in the hospital for the second time this month.

According to a statement posted to the Grammy Award-winning singer's Twitter account, Braxton was hospitalized Saturday afternoon.

"Toni Braxton was hospitalized this afternoon in Cleveland due to complications with her lupus. Unfortunately her show tonight in Cleveland will need to be postponed," the statement read.
"Lupus needs to be constantly monitored and this minor setback should not affect the rest of her tour," the statement continued. "Tickets for tonight’s show will be honored at the rescheduled date that will be announced shortly."

Braxton, 49, revealed in 2011 that she was living with lupus, a chronic autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in the sufferer's internal organs, joints and skin. She also appeared on "The Dr. Oz Show" in 2013 to talk about her diagnosis.

This would mark the second time this month that Braxton was hospitalized for lupus. Her reps told ABC News earlier this month that she was taken to a Los Angeles hospital due to lupus complications.

In an Oct. 4 statement about the earlier hospital stay, her reps said: "Toni is resting at home and she is fine. She was in an L.A. hospital for a few days being treated for her lupus. She has been released and starts rehearsals for her upcoming tour this week. She was not in serious condition, though lupus is a serious disease and must be monitored at all times."

Braxton is on her "The Hits Tour" that kicked off Oct. 8 in Oakland, California. The tour is scheduled to conclude Nov. 13 in Uncasville, Connecticut.
