Toni Braxton And Birdman End Engagement

It appears to be over for Toni Braxton and fiancé Bryan “Birdman” Williams.

The R&B singer, 51, took to Instagram to cryptically share she’s starting over this year.

“Starting a new chapter isn’t alway an easy choice… but ALWAYS choose to be chosen. Cheers to a new year,” Braxton captioned a snap of her in a red dress.

Braxton, who has two kids with ex-husband Keri Lewis, also scrubbed her account of all images.

Birdman, 55, took the same course of action — deleting every image on his Instagram. The former lovers even unfollowed each other.

E! News reports that Birdman confirmed the breakup on Tuesday, writing in an Instagram Story, “It’s over…” It has since been deleted.

The pair announced their engagement earlier this year and Braxton couldn’t stop talking about a wedding.

Then in November, Braxton confessed that she and Birdman were struggling to find a wedding date.

“We were doing ‘Braxton Family Values.’ We were going through a little drama,” Braxton told Wendy Williams in November. “I was like okay, the wedding — it’s a good thing to get all the sisters together. But I couldn’t get us all together. The wedding is not a good reason because it’s messing up my relationship a little bit. He’s like, ‘Come on, Michelle (her middle name), set a date.’”

Birdman, according to Braxton, wanted them to get married before the end of the year.
