Tameka “Tiny” Harris has some words for those criticizing her daughter.
Addressing her daughter Zonnique Pullins’ recent pregnancy announcement, Harris told Page Six that “Zonnique is a very well-rounded woman. She’s not ‘fast.’ She‘s not doing nothing no different than most women or her peers out there.
“I was not married and I turned out fine. I did not struggle — I was out there getting my money. I mean, I had a baby father but t we weren’t married and I lived a great life. Zonnique lived a great life; she did not want for anything,” she added.
“And just because you get married doesn’t mean that you’re going to stay married,” the 45-year-old wife of T.I. continued. “A lot of times that is just and hard on a kid — when their parents split — so either way, some of the outcomes turn out to be the same.”
Pullins, 24, announced last week that she and her boyfriend of two years, rapper Israel “Bandhunta Izzy” James, are expecting their first child, a baby girl. Critics on social media weren’t shy about bringing up Pullins’ age, as well as the fact that James already has two children, a boy and girl.
But Harris is determined to stay on the bright side: “Women outnumber men in Atlanta. So I am happy that my daughter found someone to love and have a baby with.”
Tiny’s new show, “The Mix,” airs Tuesday nights on FoxSoul.TV or on the Fox Soul App.
