‘The Wendy Williams Show’ Renewed For 12th Season

Wendy Williams is staying on the air … once she returns to it, that is.

“The Wendy Williams Show,” produced and distributed by Debmar-Mercury, has been renewed by Fox Television Stations through the 2021-2022 season, according to a rep for the daytime favorite. “Fall 2020 will bring the syndicated talk show into its 12th season,” reads an official statement.

Via social media, Williams herself shared that production is waiting for word from New York state officials confirming that they can, once again, film the daytime talk show in an actual studio.

“I want to go back to do our show” Williams, 55, told fans. “Nothing makes me happier than being Wendy on ‘The Wendy Show,’ you know what I mean?”

“I got the love and the boyfriends and all that other kind of stuff, I’m in my house, but what I want most is to be with you,” she said, looking directly into the camera.

“The Wendy Williams Show” — along with several other talk shows — took a hiatus this spring, prompted by the spread of COVID-19. She returned to filming episodes remotely from her home only to take another break due to symptoms of fatigue caused by Graves’ disease.
