The Weeknd has issued a trailer for his upcoming film, Hurry Up Tomorrow. The trailer hit the internet revealing that Trey Edward Shults serves as director on the project starring Jenna Ortega, Barry Keoghan, and Abel Tesfaye as leads. Much like Abel’s musical trilogy, which concluded with the LP, Hurry Up Tomorrow, the teaser shows off an eerie, unsettling world where nothing appears to be what it seems. Fans are met with scenes of The Weeknd as an altered version of himself as the singer attempts to come to terms with his time as an entertainer. Keoghan appears in the trailer as a close friend or confidant to Tesfaye, who eggs on his life as a star, telling him that “he’s invincible.” Meanwhile, Ortega’s character seems hellbent on destroying this pop star persona, with clips showing her attempting to burn Abel alive.
