NBC’s “The Voice” beat Fox’s premiere episode of “X Factor” during the Wednesday 8 p.m. hour when they went head-to-head.
“The Voice” had 10.7 million viewers to 8.5 million for “X Factor.” They tied among viewers 18 to 49, the ones networks really want.
Equally significant, both shows dropped considerably from last year, falling about 40% among the 18-to-49 group. Last year’s “X Factor” premiere had 12.5 million total viewers, four million more than this year.
