A street performer painted silver to look like the Wizard of Oz character stabbed a tour bus hawker with a screwdriver Thursday night in Times Square, cops and witnesses said.
"It was a scuffle going back and forth on the ground," said Eric Jones, 24, a store manager who watched the attack. "The silver guy got up and took off."
Gerald Brown, 50, of Harlem, was busted for stabbing an unidentified CitySights tours employee when angry words turned to blows around 7:30 p.m. at Seventh Ave. and 44th St., cops said.
Cops said they found the bloody screwdriver tucked in Brown's silver pants.
"It was a turf beef," said a police source. When Brown isn't hassling tourists for change, he battles with other street performers, witnesses said.
"The Tin Man was arguing with Spider-Man last night," said Luis Valentin, 21. "He said, 'You a--hole, this corner is mine."
