IN THE STREETS & ON THE WEB

Jadakiss also speaks on his current relationship with DMX and Ruff Ryders.

Jadakiss is hard at work in the studio, working on a handful of projects including a solo album and a new project from The LOX. During an interview with Montreality, the raspy rapper said that he's halfway finished recording his next studio LP Top 5 Dead or Alive, stating that he's eyeing a first quarter release for the disc.

"It's coming baby, first quarter. Anywhere, February, March, April... You know, somewhere around there where it feels right," he said. "It's halfway finished now. When I finish this tour, I'll go home and finish the rest of it and then we strategize the marketing plan and get that thing out to the people."

He also revealed that the new LOX album will be titled We Are the Streets 2, which was previously rumored to be titled New L.O.X. Order. He said that he's hoping that the group drops the LP in 2013. "Hopefully, [next] year sometime," he said. "We probably got like six or seven songs done for that as well."

Jada also turned his attention to his longtime collaborator DMX, recalling the last time he bumped into Dark Man X and where their relationship stands. "During the Rock the Bells tour. He's doing good, he's making money, he's healthy, he's breathing. He's taking care of his kids, his dogs, he's there. We never broke up. It's just everybody doing their own thing. It's like a house full of kids that turned grown and had they own kids. That's all it is."
