THE HEIR TO McDONALDS GOT BEATEN UP & ROBBED OF $300,000 AT HIS HOME IN THE SOUTH OF FRANCE!

These robbers were no Hamburglars.
Geoffrey McDonald, an heir to the fast food fortune bearing his name, and his wife were ambushed by baseball bat-wielding thugs who stole more than $376,000 in money and jewelry from their home in the south of France.

McDonald was "violently beaten," according to his lawyer.

The thieves, who are still at large, apparently waited for the couple to return from a night out on the town before striking -- taking money, jewelry and passports from the McDonald’s villa in Provence, the Daily Mail reports.

The attack left the couple "severely shocked," attorney Gilles-Jean Portegoie said.

Local law enforcement said the robbery occurred June 18 and was the latest in a slew of robberies in the area.

"We suspect there is an organized gang or robbers targeting wealthy homeowners," prosecutor Christian Pasta said.

He added the couple has since returned to the United States.
