The Game has responded to rumors of siding with Drake in his recent rap feud with Kendrick Lamar, which some believe resulted in his absence from K. Dot’s ‘Pop Out’ concert. The west coast wordsmith took to Instagram Thursday (June 20) to address those who suspect he and Kendrick aren’t on good terms due to him missing Lamar’s massive Juneteenth show. The Kia Forum concert featured performances from several LA acts, including Ty Dolla $ign, Tyler, the Creator, Dom Kennedy, DJ Mustard, YG and more. He also clarified his stance on Lamar’s recent feud with Drake, as many fans believe he quietly sided with his “100” collaborator over Kendrick. This assumption led to whispers of the west coast turning its back on the rapper.“ Motherf**kers in my DMs and all on these blog sites or what not talking about, ‘the west coast ain’t f**king with you,’ and, ‘you ain’t this and you ain’t that,’ and, ‘you siding with this ni**a and that ni**a.’ When the f**k y’all heard me say a mother**king thing about who I’m siding with and this and that? I be in my own lane chilling, ni**a, taking care of my kids, out the f**king way.“ Kendrick do his sh*t, and what he did last night was amazing for the west coast. I sat back and I watched it, I ain’t have to be there to think the sh*t was cool to make. I think it’s a W for the coast. I think what K. Dot did for a lot of west coast ni**as last night was hard. I think it was dope of him and big hearted of him to do that sh*t for ni**as.” “As far as my relationship with Drake, Drake is my brother, ni**a,” he later continued. “I f**k with Drake. If I call Drake and tell him ‘I need this, I need that,’ he gon’ do it. If I tell him my kids want concert tickets, ni**a, they in that bi**h. I’m a father first, and my loyalty is with mother**kers that’s loyal to me. “Don’t put my name in sh*t unless you hear me say it, and anybody that know me know I ain’t got no mother**king problem saying how I feel about no ni**a. If you want to say, ‘Game picked this side or picked that side,’ ni**a, Game picked Game side. Drake, that’s my mother**king brother, and Kendrick, that’s the homie, The rapper never officially chose a side, observers suspected that The Game sided with Drake due to a cryptic post he shared in April, where he played the Toronto rapper’s song “Energy,” highlighting the lines, “I got enemies, got a lot of enemies” and captioning the post “I got rap ni**as that I gotta act like I like.” Many interpreted K. Dot to be the one Game “gotta act like he like.” Some also took Drake liking the since-deleted Instagram post as confirmation.
