Hip-hop legends Dipset, a k a, The Diplomats, drew fire from veterans after appearing onstage at the Apollo over the weekend wearing full military dress blues — including what appeared to be real ribbons and medals.
Cam’ron and Jim Jones’ group — celebrating the release of its first album in 14 years — took the stage to perform “I’m Ready” in the offending outfits.
When word reached vets, many were not amused.
Said an insider, “I get performance art, and if you want to wear camo or a [costume] uniform, I have no problem. But if you’re wearing medals and ribbons, it’s crossing a line.”
