Terence Crawford Wants Gervonta Davis vs. Shakur Stevenson Fight In 2026

Retired or not, Terence Crawford is still thinking like a fight fan. During a recent interview, the former undisputed champion revealed the three matchups he most wants to see in 2026—and one of them involves Gervonta Davis. Crawford said a showdown between Davis and Shakur Stevenson is one of the fights he hopes becomes reality before the year is over. The matchup has been talked about for years, but Crawford’s comments arrive at a moment when Davis’ boxing future remains unclear. “It’s tough to say, because there are so many big fights to be made,” Crawford said before naming his list. Along with Davis-Stevenson, Crawford also said he wants to see Keyshawn Davis face Devin Haney, as well as a clash between Jesse Rodriguez and Naoya Inoue. Of the three, Davis versus Stevenson may be the most complicated to make.Stevenson recently moved up to 140 pounds and boosted his standing with a unanimous decision win over Teofimo Lopez. Davis, meanwhile, has not fought since his majority draw against Lamont Roach Jr. in March 2025. That fight ended in controversy after Davis took a knee in the ninth round, but the referee did not rule it a knockdown. Since then, Davis has been dealing with legal issues that have stalled his career. The boxer was pulled from a planned fight with Jake Paul after he became the subject of a civil lawsuit and criminal investigation tied to an alleged domestic violence incident in Miami.
