Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Kidnapper Indicted On Federal Charges

Federal agents have arrested the man they believe beat up and robbed rainbow-maned rap star Tekashi 6ix9ine, officials said Tuesday.

A grand jury indicted Anthony Jamel Ellison, 31, on Oct. 31 for the July 22 attack, in which Tekashi claims he was kidnapped and robbed of $750,000 in jewelry and $20,000 in cash when he was coming home from a music video shoot.

Ellison, also known as “Harv,” was arrested on Nov. 6 and has been charged with conspiracy to obstruct commerce by robbery, obstructing commerce by robbery and carrying a firearm to commit a crime, court records show.

He’s being held at the Manhattan Correctional Center and is expected back in court on Jan. 8, according to prison and court records.

Ellison was part of Tekashi’s management crew before the Soundcloud rapper’s career became mainstream. They also reported Ellison is a known affiliate of the 9 Trey Bloods gang, law enforcement sources said.

Tekashi alleged that the July attack began when Ellison and a group of thugs in a dark sedan bumped his Chevy Tahoe near Bedford and Atlantic avenues in Crown Heights at around 4:30 a.m.

After the bump, two gunmen got out of the car, took Tekashi’s driver’s phone and struck the “Oof” rapper before forcing him into their car.

They then drove Tekashi to his baby mother’s home in Bedford-Stuyvesant where he was forced to call someone to bring down the cash and jewelry, totaling around $800,000 in losses.

Later, Tekashi managed to break free and went to a local precinct to report the crime before taking himself to the hospital.

Ellison has only been charged with robbery-related crimes and has not been charged with kidnapping.
