TAYLOR SWIFT AINT ALL SHE'S CRACKED UP TO BE! KELLY CLARKSON SAY'S SHE SANG OFF KEY @ THE GRAMMYS!

Kelly Clarkson has no problem with Taylor Swift's record label defending her off-key performance at the Grammys.

But don't go bad-mouthing "American Idol," or the singers the hit show has spawned.

After the multi-Grammy winning Swift turned in a shockingly off-key performance with Stevie Nicks at Sunday night's big awards show, her label's boss, Scott Borchetta, came to the rescue.

The head of Big Machine records defended Swift, calling her the "voice of a generation" and saying that technical problems prevented her from hearing the full mix during the live broadcast.

But he also apparently felt the need to diss America's most popular TV show - the one that made Clarkson a star.

"This is not 'American Idol,'" Borchetta said of Swift's Grammys turn. "This is not a competition of getting up and seeing who can sing the highest note. This is about a true artist and writer and communicator."

Clarkson responded in a blog post to Borchetta's implication that "American Idol" singers aren't artists, but merely impressive technical singers.

After thanking him for his "Captain Obvious" sense of humor, she wrote "we not only hit the 'high' notes, you forgot to mention that we generally hit the 'right' ones as well."

If that sounds like a jab at Swift, Clarkson went on to write that she herself has had "shaky" performances, as does every artist from time to time.

In those instances, she said, her label executives gave her a supportive reminder that "every performance is not going to be perfect.

"I bring this up because you should take a lesson from these people and instead of lashing out at other artists (that in your 'humble' opinion lack true artistry), you should simply take a breath and realize that sometimes things won't go according to plan or work out and that's okay."

Clarkson signed the post, "Sincerely, One of those contestants from American Idol who only made it because of her high notes."
