Murder charges were brought against a hip-hop personality Thursday in last year’s Irving Plaza shooting of rapper Troy Ave’s bodyguard.
Daryl Campbell, aka Taxstone, was ordered held without bail at his Manhattan Supreme Court arraignment on murder, attempted murder, assault and weapons charges.
Campbell, 31, has copped to federal charges for possessing a firearm as a felon in the May 25, 2016, concert venue shootout.
Ronald McPhatter, a longtime Troy Ave pal, was killed in the crossfire. Troy Ave, real name is Roland Collins, is charged with attempted murder and weapons possession. The Brownsville-born rapper says he wrestled a weapon from Campbell to fire in self-defense.
