Taraji P. Henson will play the lead character in an upcoming remake of "What Women Want," which originally starred Mel Gibson in the main role, Deadline reported.
Henson, who stars in the hit show "Empire," will portray a female sports agent trying to compete in a male-dominated world in the film titled "What Men What."
The Paramount Pictures-backed movie is slated to hit theaters in Jan. 2019.
Nancy Meyers directed the popular 2000 romantic-comedy with Mel Gibson as Nick Marshall, a New York City executive, who is given the ability to read women's minds due to a freak accident.
Helen Hunt starred in the flick as Gibson's love interest.
In the remake, Henson, 47, gains the ability to read men's minds and it gives her a leg up in the business — helping her in the race to sign the next NBA superstar, according to Deadline.
